1825: John Quincy Adams, U.S. House of Representatives votes to elect
John Quincy Adams, who won fewer votes than Andrew Jackson in the
popular election, as president. Neither Adams nor Jackson enjoyed a
majority of electoral votes in the election of 1824.
1861: CSA Pres, VP, Jefferson Davis elected President and Alexander
Stephens elected Vice President of the Confederate States of America;
[2]Stephens had a Sinclair grandmother.
1971: Apollo 14 returns, to Earth
