George I Hanover was a great-grandson of James I,
but not of the other Stuart British monarchs (Charles I, Charles II,
James II, William III, Mary II, and Anne).
George I was a second cousin of both William and Mary, and of Anne
(pretty easy, considering that William and Mary were first cousins
and Anne and Mary were sisters).
George II was a son of George I and a third cousin of Bonnie Prince Charlie.
